finish repair

Hey guys:

I finished applying a second coat of flex coat to my spinning rod. It looks great, but the last guide to the tip, some finished sagged and ther's a lump of clear finish between the two guide feet. Since the rest of the finish of this guide looks great, and since I already have 2 coats on this wrap, I'm thinking of filing down the bulge with a dremel, and just putting a blob of finish in this area only. Do you think it will blend in, or does anyone else have any other ideas. I could leave it but....I'm obsessive.

Let it dry thoroughly and try to slice off the excess with an exacto knife if it will fit between the guide feet, cut a thin strip of 1200 grit paper to fit, wet sand lightly and recoat lightly, take your time and no one will ever notice the repair-good luck
