Permagloss

I thought I would put this out:

I am planning on building a new rod over the winter, and would like to know if it would be okay to use Permagloss on the rod AFTER I wrap and put the the 2 part clear on the threads. The blank is already glossy black, and would it be safe to use the Permagloss for the "FINAL" finish coat?

Please don't Permagloss a new rod (I'm assuming you want to put an extra coat on the blank, yes?) as it doesn't need the extra finish, will add weight (a tiny bit mind you) and cause headaches down the line. Waxing the rod after the finish cures is fine and helps with washing off the salt. I use a synthetic wax called Klasse All In One. It lasts for about 6 months.
