hi guys,i find the spine of my blanks by placeing them in some ball bearing rollers about two thirds up the blank, hold another set of rollers on top of the blank near the tip and giving it a spin.when the rod spins where it wants to be,ive been told to place the guides so theyre on the top,rod bending tword the fish.is this true for a distance casting blank too. thanks

Ive always just put the tip on the floor,,then press down on the middle of the blank. the rod will spin and stop,,,,the inside of the bend is the belly of the blank,,,spine on the oposite side.Is there another method ? Or am I completely wrong?
