10' Lami Glass or composite

I am looking to build my first rod and wanted help on a blank. Wanted something 10' for 2-5 oz. I 'll probably go with glass but did a search and saw that Todd V. from Lamiglass posted in November of last year that they thought about a surf line for their composites. Did they ever do this? If not which glass blank do I go with, I thought about the hsb1362f. It's rated 2-5 but I would want to cut it down to 10'. Can I do that and will it still be rated close to those numbers? I'll get my stuff from Clemons beings I could drive there in less than an hour. Any advice appreciated.

Gee,

The 1213M would probably do the job for you. The factory specs are overated. This is the "go to" blank for heavy plugging and live lining mackeral on the Cape Cod Canal. It can really put out a 3 ounce plug quite a distance.
