Blank Recommendations for Chunking for Hudson Stripers

I am looking for a ecomomical blank to build a boat rod for a friend of mine who wants a conventional for chunking from a boat for Hudson River Stripers.

He would be throwing from 1 - 3 oz of lead and would like a rod that is about 7 feet long. Two piece would be best but I will go with a one piece if it presents the best value.

I really liked the 9 foot rainshadow composite blank that I built for jetty fishing (SW 1089). Does anyone know if they make a two piece version at around 7 feet?

Heck - I might build one for myself as well smile.gif

Thanks in advance, Tom
