Stroth
Hey Anyone know what the letters mean next to some of the guide sizes. For example fuji sells some high frame surf guides that are listed as 40 HH, 30 HH, etc. What does the HH stand for? Also Oz a while back you recc. a 16L guide to me for a ten foot spinning rod? What does the L mean, you also mentioned an M (I think the M is under the same high frame surf model offered by fuji) Much thanks, sorry for the stupid questions,
Bill Klein
Those suffix letters are unique to Fuji's "High Frame" Spin and Surf Guides and designate the graduations in frame height within that particular rather small lineup. I believe the HH referers to heavy, high, and the others are just high (H), medium (M) and low (L).
Oznavad
Bill's got it. Don't know exactly what both H's are for, but one is "high". The only one to have an HH designation is the 40 in the surf series(HVSG for SIC or BHVLG for Hardloy). The others are 30H,25H,25M,20M,and 16L. Here's the rest of the letters H - High V - "V" Frame S - SIC Ring G - Giude (no color letter in front means gunsmoke colored frame) or B - Black H - High V - "V" Frame L - Hardloy Ring G - Guide
