sturgeon blank

Fiberglass blanks work well. My brother uses an old 9'-6" Garcia Conolon he borrowed from me and never gave back. My first spiral wrap was done on my boat specific sturgeon rod. I used a Seeker CBW709 which is their Inshore line of blanks.

I chose the blank because it had the Fiberglass

top section that alot of Sturgeon fisherman prefer and had a graphite butt section that

was smaller in diameter then fiberglass but

had the backbone you need to set the hook in

those big boys. I also wrapped a 9'-6" Lamiglas CSB114 2M for shore fishing. Same deal, top section is fiberglass and the butt is graphite.
