Fuji Single Foot Guides

Al,

Getting ready to place these guides on a blank and I read a post on another thread regarding the direction of single foot guides. The thread suggested placing the the guide with the ring torwards the real seat, and using a thread lock technique to assure the guide does not fall out of the threads. I'm guessing this is where a the thread is looped around the ring end of the guide.

What is your opinion with these suggestions?

Thanks,

Peter

I have not ever reversed the guides using single foot high-frames. Hoever, if you did want to reverse than I would only reverse the stripper guide. This will help reduce line slap.

As far as the locking loop around the base of the guide, it's a great idea. However, the guides need to be aligned perfectly since the locking base-wrap will not allow much guide movement when doing your final alignment.
