Oznavad
Does anyone have experience using these tools, like the Clemens model. I could not see the tool in the catalog due to the image quality, but it claims to make perfect alignment in a couple of minutes. How does it work? thanks Phil
Billy 40
There's been a lot of talk about this tool on the net the past couple of days. I have this tool, and think it is a great investment if you make decorative wraps. It is very simple: one piece of wood with a "Vee" shape routed in it, connected to another piece of wood with 2 slot cut in it which hold a metal straightedge. This tool is very easy to use. Place the blank into the "Vee", slide the metal straightedge down onto the blank. Now you are ready to mark off the centers of the pattern. They even supply a circle template to mark off the 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree axis. Even on steeply tapered blanks, the straightedge will lay flat along the blank. Good luck, Billy "the internet is the greatest platform for people who don't know anything, to tell people how much they don't know, to people who don't know anything and believe everything they read." -Billy 40:
