These seat can be seen in the new Angler World catalouge, so I assume they will be sold here in the US. They also have tip tops with many different ring sizes. NOw you can get a size 6 tip top with a size 10 ring.

Sergio,

I typically grip the foregrip when fighting a fish and use a trigger reelseat when casting.

I am curious to see how Fuji will market this product and promote its benefits.

Hi Al... The higher your left hand on the foregrip the better your leverage on a big fish I am fully with you on that one. I can feel the pain when I see a guy battling even billfish with the left hand just above the reel. I also love a trigger reel seat when casting a conventional. In this case it seems that this grip is designed more to ease the pain associated when cranking the lure/bait back. Of course as soon as a fish is on I would move my hand to the foregrip.

It is unusual for me to hold the reel when cranking back as shown in the photos, because I fish most of the time with 12' rods with relatively heavy rods (not when you get used smile.gif and long butt to reel lengths. But as I kept going down and down in rod lenght in these last months searching for the perfect cliff rod. I found out that I could crank back the lure with the little 7' rod and the Penn 975 as it is shown in the below photos. There must be some reason for me to come back to it again until my wrist starts to hurt a little bit. I am sure I will get tendonitis if I would fish like this on the beach in the peak of the season, but cliff fishing can not be done too frequently because when the waves are high it is suicidal so I go at the most 3 days in a week.

Looking at these images, the grip does makes some sense when used as before described.

I keep very few of the new things, but I like to be open to any new gadget, we will see smile.gif

Thanks a lot for your expert help Al.

Sergio
