How is this St. Croix blank

Hey Al, do you think this is a good blank to use to chunk the open beach with a Penn 525 Mag with Power Pro 50#. It's a St. Croix stock # 3S110H2 11'0" 2-piece. Power is heavy and action is mod.fast. Line wt. rating is 15-50lbs and lure wt is up to 12. Butt diameter is 0.800 and the tip size is 12.0. Would this make a good chunker for Fort Tilden, Riis and Breezy.

The blank is a very heavy stick that is best suited to throwing heavy bait very far. I know that it is a quality blank as I have built on many St. Croix models. As far as the locations you have described I have not fished them, but if they require far casts with large lures or lots of lead with bait then you are on the right track. Personally I use smaller equipment as it is very difficult even for a person of my size (6'3" 280lbs) to load a rod that long. I try and stick to a 9.5' max length.
