Looking for a 11-12' distance blank for casting 2-3oz jigs and spoons in the FL surf. Batson's SU1386F is rated at 2-5oz. Any estimates on its sweet spot & casting performance?

The weights you're throwin are right on the money for the sweet spot.

Are you looking at the new 1386F or the old one. I see some difference in the butt size of the new ones.

It's a very light rod and a real pleasure to use for lonnngggg periods of time.

TB?

2-3 sweet spot for sure.. I tried to hit mine really hard with 4 and it hung in their fine.. not the first rod i would go to for 4 oz, but 2-3 it's just incredible...

per bobinma's advice, i took 3 inches off the butt.. for some reason, it just felt more balanced that way...

great stick.. i posted a while back that it is a "diamond in the rough" that people overlook!
