Hi Todd,

I am loving my 9ft tri flex! Thing loads nice and lures explode off of it! My distance has increased fantasticly since switching over to it.

Ok now for my question, I have been using a lami- glass rod for my big gear for the last thirty years. The blank we used to use was the honey colored 1164, is that blank still made? If not what is the closest series that is being manufactured for that type of glass rod. If the number dosen't make any sense I understand, since I haven't needed a big rod for the past ten years. They are 10 1/2 feet long used with heavy plugs,4 1/2 oz Giant pikies, 3 1/2 gibbs pencil poppers, and 3 oz tins.(the 2 I have now are over 15 years old but still are in great shape) Great heavy popper spinning rod.

Winch, I am glad to hear you are enjoying your tri-flex rod. I have heard such wonderful things from the customers that have been using these gems.

The rod you inquired about, well...... the closest thing I can relate to it would be our "SB1364M"

Thank you,

Todd

"old" to "new Lami fiberglass conversions:

Old 1162=new 136 2M

Old 1163=new 136 2F

Old 1164=new 136 3M

Old 1165=new 136 4M

With thanx to the tackle guru Bill Klein.
