What I do is, carefully heat the epoxy, and cut the thread on top of the guide foot so that I don't cut into the blank. You should be able to unwind the thread from there. When the guide is off, scuff the area with a scotchbrite pad, and rewrap the guide. Hope this helps.

heat the epoxy and cut it with a razor, making sure not to cut the blank.. peel off the thread, if you cant peel it, re-heat and recut until its gone.. I scratch the blank with a razor to remove old residue, it scratch the epoxy if you hold it at a 90 degree angle and should effect the blank itself... then I use de-natured alcohol to clean the area, then 200 grit sand paper and scoth brite with more de-natured alcohol... that'll do it...
