flex coat question ?

I just completed a coat of Flex coat over my swirl wrap and striper decal that is located above the front grip. Somehow I got a buildup

on one side of the blank during the spinning process.

What is the best way to get rid of the build up and get a smooth finish ? I'm afraid to trim it with a blade and recoat. If I slip and cut a thread I'm in trouble. Can you lightly sand the finish with sandpaper or scotch brite and then apply another coat of Flex coat ?

Where are you guys buying the AFT coat from ? I'm thinking of trying it

Thanks Rich

You can wait a couple days for the finish to completely harden and sand/file off the bulge. Clean with alcohol and recoat.
