11/30 Thames report

1 post in this topic

Found lots of micros (13-16")in Poquetanuck Cove. They were all over a bright yellow-chartreuse clsr when trolled (but less so on a hand-retrieve). A couple shad as well. fished the Cove from the Rt. 12 bridge to the train trestle. On the way in, in the dark, I had 3 bass and a shad... they clearly had no problem finding the silhouette of the small pattern against the nite sky. Wonder if a big black fly would have produced something bigger.

Haven't fished the flats by the Indians in a couple weeks, wonder if they are out along the walls. Joe Balint at Fish Connection thinks so, and guys are having no trouble trolling them up on leadcore etc. DECEMBER BASSIN NOW!!!
