T&W from canoe??

3 posts in this topic

Duck season has now closed and I've already turned my thoughts to spring stripering. I've got a new canoe and am wondering what the experts' thoughts are about tube n' worming from a canoe up in RI's South County saltponds this spring and summer.

I'm a rookie to the T&W so can I do it solo or will a "mate" be a better option.

Some things to think about while its 15 degrees out! HappyWave.gif

Thanks for your responses.

I just ordered a Tarpon 140, "mango" color. I should get it in March, and hope to see y'all out on Raritan Bay soon after.

I bought a new canoe just in August, a Wenonah Solo Plus. I've had it out about a dozen times with my six year old daughter, have had four girls and one boy and their dads out with Katrina and me (not all at once!). Each of those five kids caught their first-ever sunnies with us - it was great.

So when the fall run came around, I posetd here asking if I could/should take the solo out in the Bay or ocean. The responses I got, plus seeing kayaks rigged out at the fly show, made me go and get one.
