fishnmusicn
I was curious to see if any one yakfishes on the Chesapeake Bay, and how you might deal with the different weather conditions, how your kayak responds, and what fish species you encounter. I can always count on stripers, blues, and white perch, with an occasional channel cat in the fresher water portions. Also have caught a few spot. One day in late summer where the Chester River empties into the Bay, I was surrounded by hundreds of rays- don't know the specific kind, but it made for quite a spectacle. I later found out that they move into the river in great numbers to spawn. They're easy to mistake for a shark at first- the "wings" look like dorsal fins.
