Anyone ever us this knot? I personally never heard of it , looks easy to tie. Was thinkin of using it for 50# leader to breakaway clip, use palomar now not happy with results not clinchin tight even with spit and pliers.1000

That's the main one that I use.. I've only heard it referred to as jansik special, not jansig. I also tie an overhand in the tag end and leave it a little longer than the picture shows because it does slip (not much, but enough to make me paranoid).

I've pulled up a hundred pound water logged stump using 50# braid and just that knot (main-swivel-leader-hook).. It's easy to tie and it's strong. That makes it good enough for me.

Fine for mono and probably fluorocarbon. In heavy tests, be darn sure the knot is snugged down tight, I suspect that in 50 and up it would be difficult to really get snug.
