Looking to load 300 yds of 50 Sufix 832 on a new Avet SX. Any one care to help save me the trouble of load, un-load, adjust. Any backing needed to get the full spool. Whats your experience.

Much appreciated.

Don't know what conditions your fishing are but someone mentioned the Sufix 20 lb braking strength is somewhere around 39 lbs.

50 Lb wouldn't be my choice. 30 is more than enough.

I'd agree in most situations however big current and all rock where this will be applied (Piscataqua River and Portsmouth Harbor), mostly on cut bait or metal/jigs. Use 30 on my lighter bucktail, sluggo, trap rod with a Shimano Curado 300E and 20 lb for lfinesse stuff on a Daiwa Tourn 1600SS. All fished from my skiff. My surf stuff is another story.

Thanks for the imput and have a great spring.

Just won one in a raffle and they spooled it with 30lb.Toro Tamer braid. Can't wait to use it this upcoming season.I think the first workout it will get will be the RSA sea bass opener for some big biscuits. Also looks like a great fluke and blackfish reel! :th:
