Carrying Capacity

2 posts in this topic

As I sit here looking thru endless catalogs, How much bearing does the capacity rating have on the riders own body weight? I would have to assume it's important but should that limit you to finding a kayak that has let's say has 100lbs wiggle room?

Never trust the companies rated capacity. They can be off by 100% Some claim what wheight would submerge the yak under water. In my opinion the true carrying capacity has been exceeded when your feet get wet. Always demo before buying.
