As of this Friday it looks like IBSP will be open 7 days a week, 24hrs a day.

 

The beach will be open to the inlet, buggies with permits will be allowed to drive south of A23 to the inlet.

Excellent! Normalcy returns. Thanks to all that have kept us up to date on IBSP and especially thanks to all the volunteers that gave their time to help get things back up to speed.

Limited access to the jetty. There will be a fence erected that restricts buggies from parking at the inlet. Walking on foot is okay. Im not sure how long the walk will be....

Just got the the word IBSP is now opened 24/7 for fishing and all acces are opened even the south tip, theres even the Flyfishing show

there all weekend long buy,, trade, swap, and they even teach you casting for free enjoy.

Where did you get that info from?  (I hope its true!!!)  I'll be there this weekend.

"Island Beach State Park will be open for fishing access 24 hours per day and to the inlet jetty effective May 17th at 630 am. Vehicles can not be driven south of the fence placed just north of the inlet jetty. For further information please contact the park office at 732-793-0506."
