I went down with my dad to see it, was just the most incredible sight. sitting out of the water.

1981ish I was thinking? Have that pic framed somewhere.

That boat, and the tug that sank in the canal were amazing to see.

I remember being down there.

First mile and a half,, about near the Pochet crosswalk more or less.

If you could find a high lookout on a sunny day you could see the dark spots in the furtherest bar off shore andpredicked an area with washovers.

What's the back-story to this?

I'm assuming there must have been quite a storm, but how did the tug end up sinking in the canal?

Her tow ran her over.........

Strong west wind, an empty tow riding high, and an east current. ;)

I saw a tug lose control on a tow one day, and it came close to wrapping around the south abutment of the Bourne Bridge.

Lots of tugs now push rather than tow, especially running with the current.
