Phil K
We have stripers, which is great, but oh do I wish we had browns like those in my neck of the woods.
crankie221
They will be even bigger this next year I also hit a fish on the same lake i was trawling in 60 ft of water using my sea fishing muliplier reel witgh 40lb braid but it was not engaged so when the fish hit i could only try and hold it as it nearly pulled the rod from my hand then went slack .Fck reeled in two owner trebles streight .The one that got away

Phil K
how big do your stripers get? they look massive to Yes they can get big. 50+lb fish are caught every year(not by me). I just have a thing for big brown trout, especially wild ones.
crankie221
I have to agree about brown wildies thats what i love fishing for .Were lucky over here but a 50lb striper would surely get the heart going good luck with that one
crankie221
one to many big macs for this one fat trout .Believe it or not wild trout this was at the end of the season so had a lot of fat stored for the long winter ahead in a high alkaline lake which basicly means lots and lot of lake insects etc for these beauties to feed on and yes he did release it to fight another day

Sandy Hooker 1
A day sent from above. Watching the sun rise over the Lackawaxen River on the first perfect fishing morning. I picked up a brookie, but my buddy Larry caught this insane Golden. This thing had some shoulders and put up a great fight.
