Garbage disposal

I figured this is the place to ask.

When I turn on the disposal, it runs for about 5 seconds and then stops.

It has an internal over load with a reset button, but that doesn't trip. neither does the gfci circuit or the breaker.

Turn it on again, same thing.

It's not bound up at all, and when it runs for that few seconds, it sounds fine.

I think it's time for a new one, these things seem to last about 7 years.

They usually come with a 6.9 year warranty. Get a new (used) one and put Never Sieze on the threads. Put some on your toast too. It's good ****. Keeps you regular. Not that you're not already regular. But yer knot.

It was buggin me that it would stop running, but not trip anything.

So, I thought maybe the switch?

Sure enough - $1.59 and it's fixed. :th:
