Daiwa Exceler reel question - PLEASE HELP

I really need your help or I will drive myself crazy :)

I reciently purchased a Shimano Trinidad TN20 reel for my deep sea fishing trips I friquintly take.

I was looking to buy another spining reel that I can take to saltwater as well as lakes if I ever go.  All my rods ar 30 to 80lb so I wanted a reel to match the weight as well.

However, I never caught anything larger then 10 lb rock fish.

I had aroud $350 to spend.

I found and purchased Daiwa Exceler 6000 reel for a good price of $130.  It is solid and large.  But for the second day now I cannot stop think if I should keep it considering the fishing types and trips I take.  I mostly go for the rock fish and rarely go for Carp and Catfish at the lake.

I keep thinking I should exchange it to something smaller in size as it may be an overkill as far as its weight.

I am generally new to this and that is why I need help.

I should not have problems returning it and still have my $350 budget that I am working with.

Please help me if you think that considering what I fish for, I should exchange it for something smaller (perhaps Shimano)

Thank you
