What's up everyone? I'm new to the board so if I'm in the wrong place with this, Sorry.

Thinking of breaking out the rods this weekend and hitting the Hudson near Nyack/Piermont area... Any idea if anything would be hitting if surfcasting?

If so, what would you guys think is hitting right now, and on what.

Any help would be great...

Brando, Check the Hudson River North reports by scrolling down the first page of the NJ forum.

There have been scattered reports about some schoolie bass being available in the Piermont/Tappan Zee/ Haverstraw Bay area. But not a lot of activity. It is still too early and the river is still too cold for bass to be real active.

My advice is to check with the local bait shops in Rockland and Westchester Co.'s. This time of year it is strictly a bait fishery and if their customers are catching, and you are buying bait, they will tell you where, when and what is going on.

It will get better with some warm April days.
