jewelers vice. i saw one on ebay for like five bucks and even though the alligator clips were a bit on the rusty side i was gonna get it and was outbid to six bucks and lost out. it would be worth the ten bucks but could make one with a medusa six prong jammy.... if i had the time. really just an extra parking device for finished fly's. the base is what i wanted originally as i could make a tree of aligator clips coming off of it. just an idea though. you decide if you'd entertain that project.

Was thinking old school vise for small flies but clips don't hold well enough. Then was thinking a drying station for epoxy flies to speed up curing time. I think you guys are right and it's not meant for tying. But think you can use it for holding flies and looking closely at small flies i guess?
