I don't know how much interest there is ...

but, I just spent time at the track with the 2013 Audi R8 V-10 and despite its cost

I can assure you its performance is out of this world !

handles like the tires were glue - brakes like it had a parachute released out back

and accelerates like a friggin' bullet

a ride I will long remember!

Were you able to take it on a beach? :p

Audis certainly seem a status brand for sport sedans of late. There are other things on which I'd rather piss away my money, but it is ABSOLUTELY a matter of taste. Enjoy.

On a more beach-specific note, I read a review of the 2013 Pathfinder. The reviewer was very happy that the current version discards the "truck-based frame that only made it suitable for off road use," and found much to like in the Pathfinder's new incarcantion as a happy family hauler.

"Sigh." Another beach machine bites the dust.

Apparently the new Cherokees have discarded the separate frame in favor of unibody construction. One version is still "trail rated," but I haven't seen anything on its' towing capacity, or the drive train options.
