Heritage Marquesa/ Redfish

3 posts in this topic

I am really interested in obtaining this boat. However, because of my location unable to demo. Could somebody whom has had the privilege please give me some feed back. I am 6ft and 230lbs, and will need to paddle into strong chop and headwinds often. The boat is said to sit high but is fast. Is it a dog into a strong headwind? If it is said to cruise at 4mph how much will such conditions reduce this speed? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

There are a couple guys who fish in florida via kayak a lot that often post reports on the florida sportsman forums in the no motor zone that fish out of these. Not to long ago one of them landed a 100-200lb Tarpon. Yikes. From their photos they don't seem to have your build but if you can land a tarpon that big from a kayak you know it is a good fishing platform. The Marquesa gives you more color options and then you can chose where you want the rodholders and what style etc.
