WOw, theres a lot of us big guys on this site, I dont really mind tipping ovr, but I dont have any combo spin or fly that cost under $700, so im more worried bout that. Where could I take a look at a couple ocean kayaks? And am i gona get comments from boaters like I did while flyfishing, such as " Look at that ******* trout fishing".

If it's a motorized fishing platform you seek, be sure you see the Kiwi "Stealth" model. It's a plastic catamaran that takes a rear mounted motor. I saw one this weekend and was impressed. It carries up to 400#. It's too wide to be considered a kayak, but the stability is outstanding. It cartops nicely too.

PS: I have a Malibu II and I weigh close to 300#

If you're going to set up a yak for a motor the 2 that I know accept them well are the Kiwi Stealth and the Cobra Fish N Dive (FnD). If you don't plan on doing any paddling at all go with the Stealth. If you want the option of paddling or sometimes using a motor go with the FnD. I can get you either kayak so if I can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to ask. Also I stock most of the popular kayak fishing accessories like fishing seats, rod holders, butt pads, anchors, drift socks, paddle clips and leashes, etc. etc. I've also got copies of the kayak fishing book.

Jon the book was very good. It repeats it self in different chapters but it does hammer some points home. Thanks.

Jon I'll be giving you a call probaly next week to arrange meet. I my think about adding an anchor after reading the uses for it. I'll let you know.
