Navigator Seat

7 posts in this topic

Thanks to all who posted suggestions for choosing a kayak. I picked up a used Navigator today for about $250 from a rental place getting rid of yaks. I may upgrade to a Tarpon later, but I figured this was a good deal. It is in great shape.

I need a seat. I had read some older posts about a fishing seat with rod holders.

Has anyone used this on a Navigator?

Know where I can pick one up?

Also need anchor, paddle clips, paddle leash, rod leash, rod holder and accessories?

Yup, I have the seat you are referring to (STS fishing seat) that many others are using as well. Good investment IMHO.

Great deal on the Nav. Does it have any hatches? The center 10" is great to have. I was fishing a Nav today. I use the StS fishing seat and have since it came out. I like it alot.

I have a Nav and also use the STS seat. Before I mounted the rod holders in the yak I used the one's in the seat to troll. Now I'm mainly using them as storage for the rod not being used. Although it's nice getting a kick in the back when you pick up a fish on the troll.

The high back on the seat is great for your back.

The STS fishing seat is a no-brainer.
