Anyone ever use those........

Though I haven't found a need for them yet, and my Dolphin has less initial stability than most SOT's, they may help prevent a swim. However, once in the water they would only be in your way on the re-entry. The flop-over-the-deck manuever keeps the boat plenty stable.

Porter, I have a touring SOT yak that is very tough (at least for me and my family) to re-enter once in the water. The only way any of us have been able to get back in is dragging on from behind and being very slow and exact till you enter the seating area.

In rough cold water alone I can see where this yak could spell trouble for the user without the use of paddle floats or even better those life boat safety sponsons.
