Put In spots

9 posts in this topic

WHo can give me some entry spots for LNBay?

Are you allowed to park at the Marina w/o a permit until May?

Flyrodder,

You said to be careful over at Great Nk Estates Park.

Is that all the time or just when the summer season starts.

I did not see any stickers on other vehicles when I checked it out.

I'm gonna give Ft.Totten a look today.

I'd really like some options closer to home instead of going out to Hemp. Harbor or Port Wash.

Thanks!

DASBOOT G/N/Estates is all the time. The town cop knows who belongs there and who doesn't. He might not catch you the first or second time but he will catch up to you sooner or later and its not a pretty site. So be careful there. On the otherside of there(Udalls)in the back theres a boat launching ramp but the only times you'll be able to launch is 2 hours before high tide and you'll need to get out about 2-3 hours into outgoing or else they'll be no water there and nothing but quicksand mud.

As for the Marina just off the CIP theres usually signs up there. I wouldn't take the chance there either cause not only will you get a ticket they'll tow your car away to.

Flyrodder,

Thanks for the unfortunate input!!!!

I guess the best way is to go with a partner and use the CIP Marina ramp, dump the yaks?gear, and drive the car to Crocheron Pk.

Than walk over the bridge.......

As I'm typing, even this sounds like hell to pay just to get in the water!!!!

There's gotta be a way to utilize this water for us .

Thanks!

I wonder how much the pking permit is for the marina.

Don't rule out the fort I put in there all the time. Go right in the big parking lot and hump it over the rocks or go under the bridge and launch there all no hassle.Until they put up the signs on the gross Island parking lot you can put in there to. We may have all of April. i'm looking at going there on thurs around 10:30-11:00 if it's not raining to much.

The parking permit for the marina is only for the people that have a slip or mooring there. I know my friend has a mooring for his sailboat there. The Fort sounds good. If you have a kayak cart you should have no problem parking it and walking your yak into LNB.

BassBlitz,

That sounds good.

I'll keep an eye out for those signs.

Maybe I'll see you out there Thurs.

Flyrodder,

So much for the parking permit!

I don't have a cart at this time.

I'll have to take a look at the TOTTEN area and see whats up.

Thanks guys!

This maybe a no-brainer, but I assume they put up signs at the Marina WARNING you when permits are required.

YES they do.

And as far as a cart goes you don't need one for the fort or I don't see how one would work there.

BB,

Thanks!

I'm going out the door now to look at those spots.

Sinbad,

Of course you're welcome to come along!

High tide is 4:44am.

I'll probably try for the start of the outgoing or around 8-9am.
