Water Temps/Snow

1 post in this topic

I was going to try my luck on the Hudson this morning, but woke up to the sound of snow ploughs and 2 inches of the white stuff.

From past fishing experiences, I found rain/snow turns the fish of the feed especially if its cold. Is this true of the Hudson, also would this small amount of snow/snow melt affect the water temps?

Anyone had any luck around the Catskill area?

One more question, does anyone know of a regular supplier of worms/herring/shad this early in the season, as I am planning for next monday now, preferably around Catskill/Hudson.
