Weekend Fishing Reports?

6 posts in this topic

Hi Guys,

How did you guys do over the weekend?

I need to hear some good news, since I put in 3 hours in Boston Harbor and struck out. frown.gif

I did manage to flip my boat, which added some excitement. Thankfully, I clip everything to my boat, including myself so nothing lost.

Anybody catch stripers this weekend?

Made the trip from PA to VA Beach and didn't do much. The weather didn't cooperate at all; heavy rains and wind hampered Saturday's action and winds persisted through Sunday. Porter and I managed maybe a dozen small croaker total and one dink of a flounder. On a positive note, we did get to paddle with some porpoises on Saturday evening just as we were about to take out. I think he got one or two decent digital pictures. They were just circling us, sometimes within 5 feet of us, and it looked like they might have been feeding at the time. It was pretty cool to see and made up for the less than stellar fishing.

Friday 8 fish 24-32 inches with most around 28 yak wading.

Sunday 3 fish 1 at 32 inches the 2 others around 28.

Friday was my best day so far.

Caught a 10lb weakie @ IBSP drifting a peach and white jiggie. She dragged me the yak and my anchor for 50 feet till she was spent.

If I wasn't anchored she would have dragged me a mile. biggrin.gif
