New Board Rules

33 posts in this topic

While everyone is away fishing and I have appointed myself in charge, I wish to inform those remaining of the following rule changes related to the Kayaking Forum:

1) Posting of all fishing reports will be delayed for a waiting period during which I will verify the information and check grammar and spelling. The period will be around 24 hrs, depending upon on how far the location is from my house and my availability to personally verify the report.

2) There will be no debate allowed over where to install the transponder for fishfinders. The only allowable answer will be, 'Get some glue and stick the darn onto the boat and get on with your life.'

3) There will be no debate allowed over the relative merits of the CobraTarponWildernessTandemPamlicPungoYadaYadaYada . The only allowable answer will be, "They are all plastic, they all float. Have fun.''

4) Any posting regarding installation of a motor on a yak will be deleted and reposted in the boating forum.

5) The only allowable response to the question of where to buy any yaks or yak-related equipment will be "Acme Yak Fishing Outlet'' a small public company in which I am the majority shareholder.

6) All safety questions will be responded to with the following one-word answer: "Wuss.''

7) There will be no reference to any board member who is away on the fling. They do not exist.

That is all.

Steve what if the yak is a hybrid and already has an engine?

Are we paddlers or fishermen.....this is getting like the "chicken or the egg" syndrome wink.gif

If I wanted exercise I'd join a gym.....the scenery is much better there. Rivals the beach on most days. wink.gif

Yeah...I second the motion. Can I be the Baliff in our new version of the Kangaroo Court?

I think we should move #3 up a little higher on the list, especially now that my kayak order has been placed! wink.gif

I doubt the flingers will ever recognize the place once they return. So be it. biggrin.gif

I failed to adequately install a motor on my Ambush with a new Honda 2HP 4 stroke. Have been ostracized by the forum...it was a failed project!

This whole post has got to be the funniest piece this forum has ever seen!!cwm27.gifcwm27.gif

I am seriously considered a Mokai soon. Does this spell a death nell for me???

Jim,

Ask Tim to start a new Hybrid Forum. You can hang out there with guys who fish for those funny striper hybrids in Alabama, you know the ones that married their cousins.

I'm not troubled by the chicken or egg question. As far as I'm concerned, if it's got motor, it's a menace. Scares me and my fish.

We are paddlefishermen. The few, the proud, the manually mobile.

JPL, you are hereby removed from this forum for even THINKING about putting a motor on a yak, much less actually picking out a model.

JoeB, as anointed bailiff, would you kindly escort JPL out of the Kingdom and banish him for a period not to exceed 20 months, unless he comes back immediately and tells us of a place where we may catch copious numbers of fish.

Not as of yet FlyFlicker......the Mokai fills my current needs perfectly. When I retire and move to the Keys......you could be right.

Steve : I've heard of striperfishermen, bluefishfisherman, weakfishfisherman, but who wants to catch paddles? They don't fight worth a darn and are terrible tablefare.

I quess next if it's not a sit inside it's an sacreligous!

I gotta side with Jim on this one. Anything that enhances your ability to catch fish is OK by me!
