Hobie SOT

Seahoss It looks fun.Looks smart "Ya I can fish with both hands and paddle with my feet "But for me I fish in tight .Always sliding over rocks and bars.Half the time you dont even see them.I think you will get mostly the same response from the guys here.

I like to fish the skinny water at night.So I am always bumping into stuff.Probaley would destroy that flipper system.

I have a Hobie- Pursuit SOT. I'v used it for 5 years. I use it in the surf and some bay fishing. I also use a Yak rak to transport. The paddle would get in the way of a surf landing. I feel it would also impede your fishing by getting you line tangled under the yak.

joe is right. I even have a friend with a Hobie Odyssey that urgently placed his rod butt in a the scupper hole only to have it cleanly sheered off right below the reel seat when he went over rocks.
