makomania
It costs about $17 for 2 pre-rigged 9" Slug-Gos. It costs about $12 for 8 unrigged 9" Slug-Gos. For the 5 minutes it takes to rig each one, I think it is well worth it, but that's just me. You can also choose whatever hooks you would like, whether a single or tandem rig. I am planning on trying more single, long shank hooks this year. Like you said, most "nice" fish are going to hit the front, and you have less chance of hooking yourself. Right Folifish??? Not to mention, if you pour your own, it brings the cost down to ~ $0.37/per bait. anyone tried making a mold to pour the baits around a pair of hooks? Something like the hogy rig with a sluggo poured onto it?
