mybeach
Nice looking stuff. Can you make a whole stack of them and slice them off the block like slices of bread?
cdsleeve
I don't think so,unless I'm not getting what you're saying. It just occurred to me it would be easy to cut then in the shape of a fish. They don't take long to make, less than 10 minutes.

cdsleeve
As to stacking, I like the thicker bottom for more stability so I'm using scrap Mahogany that's 1 3/4" thick. By leaving just the bottom thick and leaving the rest no more than 3/4" or so I can layout one on edge then flip the pattern over and move it down a couple inches and get another piece out of the other side. These are about 9 1/2" tall and by doing that I get 2 pieces out of a 12" long piece of wood.
mybeach
This was a cool project. I had to build most of it in stealth mode. Installed all the accessories today while the kid was at the beach. Swings on opposite corners, cargo net, pull-up bar, pair of rings, and 30 of those rock-wall plastic climbing rocks. 8’ x 4’ x 8’ tall. She is going to love it...everything comes down and goes under the tree...not the frame. MickAff

mybeach
And since some guys were talking about the sentimentality of certain tools, I realized that I use that little Stanley level pretty much every day that was my dad’s. It it must be at LEAST 60 years old, probably a few more. Edited December 22, 2018 by mybeach MickAff
