pmjasper
yeah i think it is a worthwhile endeavor. i haven't gone at night yet but i have gone in the early morning darkness in other areas and the number one thing in my mind in order. make sure everything you want to use is in order because during the night time you don't want to go searching for tackle. i love the Navesink because it is protected and there are fish there. pmjasper
thats sounds like a great idea although it would be a better prospect in the spring when the fluke, tiderunner weakfish and stripers move into the river. i'd be up for it though as i love the Navesink river. i may try the Keyport area of Raritan Bay this Saturday morning for bluefish. ccan't wait to get on the yak and go. talk to you soon. tommat
pmjasper, There are no bluefish in Keyport right now. Head to the Navesink. There are keeper size weakfish and small blues in about 16' of water just west of the Oceanic bridge. Time of day does not matter. They will eat flies, jigs, rattletraps and worms.
