Salmon stick

Last year I bought a 9' Lami conventional. It's a nice stick but a tad to stiff in the tip for light jigs. I also have a bass pro shops salmon\\steelhead tourney special. It's a great summer stick. Casts down to sub 1/2 oz but lacks the backbone to use on the jetties or in the fall.

I came across a 9' salmon stick by Rouge. It's rated from 1/2 to 4 oz and it's 2 piece (a requirement for me or I'd already have a PacBay 1087). Another possibility is Lami's Kenai King, it's rated from 3/4 to 2? oz.

Does anyone use these sticks? What's your opinion?

Can't help ya with the Lami's, my place sells them, just not many Steelie rods except the noodles. But, I know G. Loomis makes a really nice line of "Hotshot" stealhead rods that are almost ideal for beach and jetty plugging and eeling for stripers (I know, I know, Loomis $$$$$) If a rod can stop a Steelie mid-current, it can handle a striper.
