It's been a busy day cleaning and collating gear for new project. I'm taking little break and cut a hunk of bread off this mornings loaf, added a little butter, while delicious, I remembered how amazing the butter was at The Balsams in Dixville Notch, NH. I've spent a fair bit of cash trying different european and artisan butters trying to find one gets close to that perfect balance of sweet, sour, and hint of the meadow... I have to get back up there.

Nuts? You bet I am.

I've never been a big fan of the European butters.

Would you believe that I have never knowingly consumed gourmet butter? I dig on the land o' lakes Indian chick. That's it.

Gadballs, a wonderful loaf like your deserves to be torn, with love, not butchered with a knife. :)

Isn't it nice that members here can get all tender without the typical retribution?

You can never have too much meadow in your butter, can ya?

Unsalted is supposedly a better product. Add your own salt.

But I am a sucker for the salted Breakstones whipped tub.

The act of tearing a loaf of bread, especially a round one (no end) like his, speaks to community and yes, love.

Frank, margarine is ****.

One more screw up like that and you will be dismissed from this thread, with love.
