"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Can you vote for someone whose signature law violates the oath that they took to officially become President?

which President was the last NOT to violate that oath?

While most liberals and democrats seem to dwell on the previous administration the only one that matters right now is Obama.

I'm not trying to justify anything....

I'm just asking.

in my lifetime there have been some questionable deeds done in the whitehouse,

by both parties.

I'm not looking to excuse Obama,

the Supreme' Court's function is to rule on the Constitutionality of the Laws that get passed.

A President signing off on a bill that the SC rules against doesn't seem like a major breech of the Oath to me.

but let's go back one at a time,

Which was the last Prez that didn't breech the Oath?

How many sitting presidents have had their signature piece of legislation gutted by the supreme court because it was unconstitutional?

I know how much you want to turn this into a but Bush thread but try sticking to the OP.

If you want to stick to the OP,

then I think you are being silly.

If the SC strikes it down so be it.

it's not really the Legislation he asked for.

and I don't view it as breaking his oath.

I was trying to give the thread a little life,

but if you want just another whine about Obama thread I will let you at it.
