Harbaugh will be using him in his "heavy package" where he uses defensive line men as extra blockers. A wall of angry big men headed your way.

Hope you guys dont plan on making 3rd and 1 anymore

seriously, good riddance. while i liked his heart and energy.....sometimes............. he could be a bit of a liability. he takes a lot of stupid penalties, and he just cant plow through the line anymore the way you'd think a man of his size could.

will miss him against the cowboys though. he really did hate that team and always seemed to rise up against them.

he's already not the same back he was a few years ago and he's fragile. and a whiner. i dont expect he'll make a big impact. nice to see the niners make the offseason effort though.

Good luck to Brandon Jacobs, it was nice the G-men got the best years you had to offer, can't see him being effective at this stage of his career. Big angry men don't necessarily get first downs.

One other bothersome thing about Jacobs, you have to watch him celebrate every hit or yard he makes like its a Super Bowl touchdown, he's a head case.

Followed by a guy who has to stop and do a little dance just before he makes contact.

Jacobs could have been another Christian Okoye, an unstoppable bulldozer if it weren't for that.

So now the whiners have 2 old beat up backs :D

Old when did 29 become old. If 29 is old that makes you what? Senile?

By the way how old is that useless quarterback Dallas has. How many playoff games has he won???

How come you guys passed up Aaron Rodgers?

He has one. How many for the first overall pick in the draft Alex Smith? Seriously, 23 teams (I think) passed on Rodgers. And if Smith doesn't have that D he probably would still be looking for his first playoff victory. And good luck with Jacobs. I loved having him here, even though he was over the top alot with his antics.

29 is ancient in nfl rb years.

Especially if your Team has a JV Starting Quarterback Like the 49ers do. Poor Old Al Gore had to run the rock to many times Like Earl Cambell

There not like dog years? ;)

Blue, Nobody is dreaming that he is at 29 going to be an every down player, but will be used as a situation back. He will hopefully be fresh for predetermined amount of plays a game. Can he block? Perhaps he will be put in in situations where Gore had been used as a protecting blocker on pass plays. He will also be playing with a chip on his shoulders, he wasn't happy with his role as a Giant.
