What the hell Derek??? Did they give you any clue as to the treatment schedule and prognosis? Probably have to wait until you see an oncologist.

That sucks man. Keep me informed.

sorry to here that bud.. will say a prayer for you tonight ...i believe there are 4 main types of thyroid cancer ..just go to specialist and have him check it out ...doc said its no big deal then chances are its a common one that's highly treatable ...good luck and stay strong get and get a second opinion to be sure

Keep as positive as you can buddy. My father went through throat cancer stage 3 a little while back and it was hard but staying positive and busy really helped him a lot. I will be thinking of you. Take care and if you ever need to talk just let me know.

My sister in law had thyroid cancer and they removed the thyroid and she takes synthroid every day. I think its called Hashimotos disease???? My wife has her thyroid out, her mother had her thyroid out and now my wifes sister. I believe its one of those easily curable cancers. I mean it blows, but you'll get through it. Best of luck.

I am really sorry to hear that. I hope it will be taken care of and you'll be as good as new soon!

As for how to take it, well, two years ago I went through many months of pain that was so unbelievable being alive by itself hurt. What got me through it was knowing that I needed to keep going for the sake of people who love me and rely on me. At the hardest of times all sense of self disappears and it becomes about the loved ones. I'm sure you have many of those in your life, so keep your head high for them.

Positive thoughts sent and hopefully one day in the future you will be in the clear and will come back to this thread and reflect. Good luck my friend :)

Sorry to hear this. My friends mother had it and she is now 100% cancer free. You would have never known she even had it. Best of Luck

There's no good cancer but this is one of the more easily treatable, depending on when it's detected. I had a cancerous thyroid removed 30+ years ago (this was a surgical excision, now it's usually done by radiation) and while I take synthyroid daily, it hasn't re-occurred or otherwise been a problem.

You're in our prayers.
