Skins giving up 3 #1's and a #2 to move 4 spots

I think this is completely out of step for the Skins......to give up picks like this. Since Bruce Allen took over they have been very frugal with trades. We have picked up starters just for trading places in a round.

Guess the interest in Manning was a smoke screen?????

The interest in Manning was very real.

Manning was not interested in playing for the Redskins.

Can't say that I blame himbiggrin.gif

The "smoke screen" was the notion that we ever were a contender for Manning.

Now the question becomes=is RG3 willing to play for the Redskins?

Absolutely, RG has a good head on his shoulders. He is not a "me first" guy. That's thing I like about him the most.

Let's call it two #1s and a #2. They' still have a #1 this year.

That is actually in line with the value chart; points-wise.

635

One has to consider that RGIII will command 1st pick status even loftier than a normal first pick.

Remember, this chart is a guideline only.

Just a possible point value for the cost of the second pick of the draft......

1600

+800

+800

+520

=3720

RGIII's possible value.....

3000-3400

Not too bad considering that this was a bidding war.

Apparently the Rams screwed up and pulled the trigger on the deal with the Redskins before the Brown's final offer was made. The Browns offered an additional 1st round pick, but it was too late.

I can't remember a #2 pick ever being traded for 4 first round picks. That is off the chart.

Maybe the Redskins will take the Browns offer and come out with an extra 1st round pick for their troublewink.gif

Not willing to stake your reputation on Grossman/Beck?

LOL.

The number of picks being thrown around for RG3 is amazing.

WHOA.

Makes me wonder what the Colts could get for the #1 pick??

The Browns offered the overall #4 pick and 3 additional 1st round picks to move up to #2 and draft RG3.

It was a substantially better offer than the Redskins made, but the Rams had already "agreed in principle" to deal the #2 pick to the Redskins for the overall #6 and 2 additional 1st round picks.

What would the Browns be willing to give up to get the #1 pick from the Coltsheadscratch.gif

The guy averaged somewhere between 15-20 rushes a game last year. He better break that habit real quick, especially given what the Skins have on the OL.

Not a chance. Griffin is the real deal.

This is the Redskins we're talking about

He'll blow out a knee in his backyard a week before training camp opens.
