I really appreciate all the stuff goin' on here; it connects w/ all i've been working on around my house and I've learned that it seems to be a life-lomg project!:)

I love to try different things so I thought I'd share some of the stuff I've done for the recent job in my house-- new kitchen. I've already posted about my maple floor, and that turned out nicely; I've also posted about duct work so I'll start there.

The houses in our neighborhood were constructed w/ exhaust fans going through the wall of cinderblock and brick-- we decided to upgrade to a range that recommended out side exhaust. Thats were i step in..I'm gonna exhaust the range through the existing fan/hole-in-the-wall (i'm not gonna blow another hole through all that..).

the following pics show where the fan is in the old configuration, and then how I tied into it- the red circle is the exhaust fan/hole yellow circle it approx new exhaust fan..

the next pics show the duct I installed to get to that fan, and then some nice stainless duct covers that I ordered online from metalbytheinch.com-

I also wrote about Bondera double stick tile adhesive; well, that worked out very well for my backsplash project. as i said, i'm very sloppy so i can only imagine the cement oozing through the slim tiles. Here's some pics of the adhesive sheets and some tile work:

Last thing is the sliding panel window/door treatments... we hated the vertical blinds we had everywhere so Marge discovered these cool things for our sliding patio door:

Thanks for the kind words!

I'm a bit disappointed w. the cabinet company, and the tile place charged a 20% restocking fee for stuff returned... I'm not talking tile (special order not returnable) but bags of thinset, tubes of caulk ($20! my bad for not looking over the receipt!!) and other regularly stocked items... what a rip! So, they made $4 on a tube of returned caulk!! Outrageous, and I let them know about it... Then they complain about the big stores! I won't buy there again...

Thank you fellas! Wifey very generous and understanding; spring freedom is what i charge for labor...:D

The treatments are Bali Sliding Panels; we bought them from Blindsgalore.com. We also ordered a roller shade of the same material for the window over the sink.
