A coworker of mine told me his friend was on the Naval Pier the other night and caught a 38 inch striper on a lure. He kept it. I told him he kept an illegal out of season fish and he insisted it was a legal catch. Showed him the rulebook today.

are there different rules for the Naval Pier?

Surprising how few fishermen, even some fairly knowledgeable ones, don't know that the bay is closed.

A lot of people think it's only the rivers, if that.
