Charleston
I just read a letter of thanks written by the recipient of my sons left kidney. I have a smile on one side of my face and a tear running down the other. I have never experienced anything like that before. Time for a cocktail. I am old but I'm slow. Lucky
"Lucky" is a fictional character on the interwebs. Nothing "Lucky" says or does can be or should be construed as a real thought by an actual person. Objects in your rear view mirror may appear to be closer than they actually are. MikeMc
Out of death comes life. It's a good thing your son did there, Bill. You know it must be a penguin bound down if you hear that terrible screaming and there ain't no other birds around.

BigBaitBigFish
It's bittersweet, but him losing his life gave someone else a second shot at theirs...I applaud him for being an organ donor...I hope more people would. TimS
Bill, I can't even imagine... Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere. Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips.

Charleston
Your son gave another man his life back. Yes he did. This particular organ recipient was just weeks from death. When all is said and done my son gave 9 people life changing/life saving organs. The decision to do this was made by our entire family and here we are just shy of 8 months into it and we have one success story. I'm making my second cocktail now. Crown Royal over ice. I am old but I'm slow.
